Tranny cooler

I am planning on running a tranny cooler on my new AOD drivetrain, and I will by-pass the radiator completely.

Is this common, or should I NOT do this?

I was thinkin of runin a 10" fan on the tranny cooler, which I am sure this would be a great help. But is it completely neccesary?

Thanks in advance or TIA

i think that most people DO run it throught the radiotor. i did with mine. not sure why...probably just because it is that much more cooling you get by putting it through it.

why do you want to bypass the radiator? just wondering...

Well, I figure the Radiator is gonna already be hot, how much is it REALLY gonna cool it? Plus, the tranny cooler is out in front of everything. So it will get air first.

I bent my own lines, so had the chance to just run right past it!! So I did.
I may get a 10" fan just to have one on there.

Many don't run it through the radiator. I have heard that the radiator doesnt cool it all that much, if any.
