High Volume Water Pump???

HELLO ALL:

I've got a front seal leaking, so since my 1983 Z28 305HO CCQjet still has the original water pump, might as well replace it while I'm at it. I've bought alot of stuff from SummitRacing and have been pleased with the results. They offer a "high volume" pump, but they're asking whether it's the long or short version. I figure mine is the short version, but before I order today, ........ just wanted to make sure and get some info from you experts.

THANKS
PAT

You most likely have the long version. Short pumps were used on corvettes and a few other cars that had very cramped engine compartments. If you look around at websites you will probably find some schmatics, use those to be sure. My best guess without seeing it is you have the long pump...

I'd look at the stage 1 stewart if I were you. It's much cheaper than one of the aluminum 'high flow' pumps, and is certainly cheaper.
