im replacing my radiator soon and i was wondering if i should use teflon tape on the tranny cooler lines? also the hose size for a tb bypass is 5/8 right? and where can i get the hose for this the only hose they had at home depot was for a washing machine and looked like it would melt.

Thanks

u shouldn't need to. they didn't have teflon on there to begin with. thats why they are flared.

He's right, those are flared fittings and not NPT which do require teflon or sealant. For the hose, go to the Auto Parts Store and get a pack of heater hose. It is made just for that and probably cost a lot less than washer machine hose. Also get the rubber caps for the two fittings on the TB.

They look like this:

It makes it look better instead of just having the coolant fittings shown. They are rubber and fit without clamps (no pressure).
