Little Confused
i installed a 160 therm, on my 88 formula 350 and in traffic the car still reaches high temp around 200-220 is there anyway to fix this problem. thnx guys

that temp is normal
if you want it lower, dual fans need the chip reprogrammed(lower fan turn on) or a manual switch
single fan needs a lower temp fan switch, or a manual switch

the stat will open earlier that doesnt mean without the fan being on it will keep cooler, it will just keep the engine from getting hotter quicker since u lowered the open temp.
the easiest is to get a lower fan switch or just wire in a manual fan switch, u will find great info from running some searches.

180 stat is very nice to have.
normal stock temp i found it to be 220 on the guage.
the easiest and cheapest is to wire in a manual switch, the dual fan diagram showing how to wire it in is all over the cooling board.
