stock electric fan

1985 Firebird
Is the stock electric fan computer controlled, or do I just need to plug it into a sensor? I just swapped a '68 engine in and would like to retain the stock fan operating as original.
Thanks

is it a single fan?

is yes, it should just have a fan switch in the passenger cylinder head, between the rear two exhaust ports

Yes, it is a single fan. If I run another switch, say at the thermostat housing, would it work properly? (I use the cylinder head port for my temp gauge). My only concern is that I put a '68 engine in and eliminated the computer.
Thanks

computer had nothing to do with fan operation on the single fan cars, the t'stat housing should work fine
