ouch its hot

I just got the 355 hooked up and started, but i have some cooling issues now, 87 trans am single fan. I have the drivers side sensor in (temp guage) and the one on the thermostat housing hooked up, turning on a/c will turn on fan but thats the only way, it wont come on with computer in diag mode (pins a&b) or by car waming up. there is one other sensor for the pass head (has oval connector one wire) but i havent put it in yet.

is the sensor i havent installed the problem? or do i have a ground i have missed? worked fine before engine swap.

engine currently cooling down from first startup but i would like to get this straight so i can run it longer next round.

That other switch (aka fan switch) that you left out is the only thing other than the a/c that controls the fan.

the 2 wire one is the engine coolant temp sensor for the computer, so, yes, something you don't need

the one that goes in the pass head is the fan switch

if you still have the stock one, get one for a 87 buick t-type with a 3.8, vin 7

it works at a lower temp than stock, on at approx, 215 and off at approx.195-200

as opposed to stock, on at 235 and off at 215-220

these 882 heads have a bigger hole than my original heads, any idea what car to use to get the right fan switch that will fit the hole in these heads. or i could a factory style up on the thermostat housing since i dont need that sensor any longer, but how much temp dif will there be in that location?
