Is this enough CFM?

I've been running my stock single fan and stock radiator and high volume water pump with my ~400hp 383 and cooling has been marginal here in South FL in the summer time. I've been looking to upgrade the system to cool a little better and gonna end up getting a 2 row 1" aluminum radiator and wanna upgrade the fans as well. This is the fans that I've been looking at (400-220) and it says it pulls 2500cfm. Does anyone know what the stock single fan pulls? The one thing that caught my eye was the fact that it says that it's for V8's up to 280hp? Could that be true with 2500cfm? Anyone have any insight?

Did you put a lower rate thermstat in your car?? 160* maybe? Have you tried wiring the fan to come on with ignition so it runs no stop when the vehicle is running? I myself would try this route to see if it helps first, it should.

Yes, I do have a 160 degree stat in it, and I have a stand alone ECU and I have the fans coming on at 165 so yes, it does run all the time. Tom

My Irocz has stock radiator with dual fans, setup as I descrided to you earlier, and I run @ 160* normally, smokin hot days is rises alittle. Maybe the second cooling fan is doing the trick for me?
