305 to 350 stock radiator too small?
ok i am putting in 350 in place of my 305 lg4. i have heard i should get a 3 vs the 2 row i have because the 305s run a lot cooler because they are bored small and a lot more room for water in the engine. i will be running the stock belt driven fan setup at least for the time being. will this not be enough to kool the 305. do i need to get a new radiator right away?

I was always under assumption that 305's came with a 3row radiator!!!
When I bought mine, it had a three row rad. Also, the direct replacement for it was a 3row radiator.
3row should be enough to cool a 350. However, I would get another fan if you only came with one, or you can get a 180 thermo drill some holes into it, and you will defenetly have a cooler engine!!!
Good luck!!

When I did my swap I left the factory radiator with one fan setup on my car. It keeps my 355 a cool 160 all summer long.

I still run the 355 with the stock 305 radiator and single fan. It works beautifully. I never see temperatures above 160-165 with the fans on. Even with the fan off it stays cool. Still only a rebuilt water pump.

I'm running my 383 Super Ram with the factory 305 radiator and dual electric fans as well - was the 350 even different on these?

wondering if any of you ever saw a factory 3 row staggered core radiator with plastic tanks, my 84 h.o had one like this when it was new, it also had a heavy duty cooling option

I just replaced the L89 V8 radiator...or will, with one from a 305 88 Camaro with auto trans...that's the sticking area I was told...needing those cooler lines!
