92 TPI sensors questions

I have a 92 b4c camaro with a 350 TPI but it came with a 305, it has the dual fans, and im trying to find where the coolant sensors/senders are for my application and the fan relays,
main thing is theres a long yellow wire from the wire loom above the starter that is loose and when i touch it to the battery the left side fan turns on, I'm just trying to make sure the sensors and all that are hooked up correctly
also where is the knock sensor and what type of connections should the knock and coolant sensors have? with wire colors
any help would be great
thanks
tim
oh also there is a rusted metal rounded box thing that is about 2" wide, 1" tall and about 1/2" deep attached behind the left side headlights that have two or three wires coming from it that looks jerry - rigged, does anyone have any idea what that is

Gauge sensor = Drivers side head between #1 & #3 spark plug.

ECM Fan Sensor (Driver side Fan) = right below the trottle body.

Passenger side Fan Sensor = Pasenger side head between #6 & #8 Spark plug.

Knock Sensor = Passenger side, at the back on the Block.

Fan relays = Firewall on the Drivers side (there will be 3 Relays there right behind the Brake Booster). If I remember correctly, the 2 closest to the Fender are the Fan Relays. Someone correct about this if I'm wrong!!

I don't give out what my car runs, if you want to know, come on up

My car looks just like it did when it came from the factory. But not as purdy
I'm not to worried about how she looks on the outside right now, that doesn't make her go any faster. After I'm done with all the performance upgrades, then I'll attend to her facial.

No pics, I can take some if you want to see it.
She's Black w/ grey interior.

How often do you race your car at the strip?
How long ago did you put the 350 in.

havent raced her yet, i just bought her from a guy in Baytown, who said she used to run high 12's with the L98 aluminum heads he had on it, that he said he cracked. i stilll doubt that though
he said the 305 in it blew hole in itself lol s he put in the 350 but left on the 305 heads so right now im trying to find 350 heads for my rebuild because when i bought it it had a bad piston slap.
you think for 1700 was a good price for a decent B4C 1LE with allthat good stuff
heres the lin to the ebay listing with what he said he had

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT
I plan on black with a silver or ghost hockey stripe down the side
you know anyone with some 350 heads for sell
thanks tim

I don't know of any heads for sale but post up in the Wanted Parts Forum, You may find somebody selling some.

The car doesn't look to bad for the price you paid.
Since there's not a fine on the back, I'd sugest the 7 inch one from Hawks (sponsor at top of page).

Sounds like the previous owner ragged her pretty hard.

I'm not sure what thing your talking about by the battery, I'll have to look at mine.

OK I looked at mine and i found the one between #1 & #3, the one below the throttle body, and i have one on the pass side right near the starter with two or three wires, and theres one on the drivers side on the block with a one wire clip on connector that keeps slipping off, is that one supposed to be there and should it keep coming off, and i didnt find one one the passenger side head between 6 & 8?
the guy who had this must have got some of them mixed up and also most of the stuff on the throttle body is disconnected or plugged, he had one of them plugged up because of the coolant bypass, and he has the vacuum for the cruise controll hooked up but the rest im not sure what should be hooked up to them, i know PCV goes to the top vacuum port but im not sure what else goes there, he has the EGR removed I believe because i dont see it underneath the plenum..... so does that hook up to the TB

also that yelllow wire does that go to the missing coolant sensor? and wouldnt it take two wires, this one has a plain ol' circle connector at the end and when you touch it to the battery it turns on one of the fans
thanks for any help im just trying to get all this stuff figured out
to get it hooked up right

thanks guys
tim

The one near the starter on the Block should be your Knock Sensor BUT it should have only 1 wire (DK Blue/White)(Ckt. 496). It goes to GF9 on the ECM. Your saying there is something there but with 3 wires coming off it. HHHMMM, don't know

The sensor between #1 & #3 spark plug is the sensor for your Temp Gauge in the **** pit. This sensor should have the Spade type connection on it. I just looked at mine and it has a Green wire.

You found another sensor on the drivers side, along the block???
I know my car doesn't have another sensor on the Drivers side block. Maybe the previous owner put the sensor thats suposed to be on the passenger side over there?

Your EGR Valve connects to the EGR solenoid, then from there it is connected to the Trottle Body. It will connect on the driver side, underneth .

The Gage sensor (between #1 & #3) and the Passenger side fan senor (between #6 & #8) Have only 1 wire. At least mine do, and works fine!! The ECM sensor below the trottle body has 2 wires.

i think i got this figured out
the pass side sensor between 6 and 8 is not there, the wire that i was touching to the battery that turned on the passenger side fan was an extension from a white wire from what i can tell. i guess that was the pass. side sensors wire without the right connector....
now the one on the drivers side is in the picture, is this the right sensor and connector? the connector wont even stay on the sensor. there isnt one on the block on the drivers side only on the pass side block which is the knock sensor

thanks for the great help so far
tim

That first Pic is your Gauge sensor.

The second pic/ Top = Map Sensor
Bottom = I can't see it, all I see is a black spot!
