melting switch?
ok the guy i got my car from tells me that the switch for my cooling fans on my dash will melt if i hook up both my fans to it. it pops a 20 amp fuse everytime i try and hook them both up. i've never heard of a switch melting before. will i be risking a fire risk if i just pop in a 30 or 35 amp fuse and let it rip? wires melting maybe?

Use a switch and wire rated for the current and it will be fine, or use the switch to turn on a relay rated for the current.
