well the fan wont turn on innless I turn the ac on it wont turn on by its self it almost goes in the red and still wont turn on but anyway I was wondering if this was why here’s a pic of what looks like a sensor with no wire I didn’t see any wires hanging down but anyway is this the cause of my problem?

That looks like a low coolant sensor, or at least, where one would be.

That's not it!

Your problem is probably a bad or possibly unplugged Fan Switch. It screws into the water jacket of the block. Most likely it is on the passenger side just forward of your starter about half way up the block. There should be a wire plugged into it... You can change the switch out so that the fans come on at diffrent temperatures.

This is where I would look. Check wiring first.

ok it was plugged in I think I’m just going to order a new lower temp fan switch and see what happens

A bit of advice...

After I write this you will be thinking "that guy is stupid!"

If you read the instructions for putting in a fan control switch it tells you to drain your cooling system before you start. This is good advice - Do it!

When I did mine I had replaced coolant just a few weeks before and I did not want to drain. I thought - If I do this quickly how much could leak out? Let me tell ya - it flows fast. I was covered from head to toe or so it seemed!

SO - don't be stupid like I was - Drain the radiator first. It will make your life better.
