which ends Augest 1. he doesnt want an 05 anyways. im not sure what he will go with but im just going to go down to the parts store and see what they have. if it doesnt work ill just replace the gasket but i figured i would try to save him some money and labor.

Over the years I found Barrs leak in the tablets you have to grind up to work the best, and was/is a first fix in many oem garages when dealing with leaky heater cores or other minor leaks.
Many in the racing community (including myself) run them also when paired with aluminum heads to help seal any little voids/imperfections on a new motor since the expansion/contraction rates and minor machining flaws can casue you to lose water over time. I've seen 3 sets of head gaskets off race motors now that use Barr's after inital break in, and there was silver around the ring of the head gasket bore and some other places as well....sounds hokey, but more common than you think.

Yea, we toss Bars Leak into pretty much every cooling system repair job at my work. Helps seal up those SMALL imperfections.
