Tranny cooler ?'s

I am installing a built 700R4 w/2400 Holeshot converter.

At the same time I would like to install a tranny cooler to keep it from getting hot.

I'd like to know which coolers you guys are running and where you mounted it. My plan is to still run the a/c so I will have the condensor behind the radiator.

The one I was looking at is the B&M cooler rated for 16,000lbs. The p/n in Summit is BMM-70255. Measures 11" x 5 3/4" x 3/4" for $42.88.

Seems this is a cheap insurance policy on my expensive tranny!

External tranny coolers are always a good idea.

For every 20 degree fluid temperature drop, the life expectancy of the trans doubles. So a cooler than keeps the trans say 40 degrees cooler will make the life 4x as long.

I have the largest B&M supercooler - the extruded one, not the normal one. It keeps the fluid cool, yet doesn't overcool....
