almighty elthesh I need your wisdom
okay so i got a chance to check my heating this weekend. I pulled every hose from the valve on and inspected it. THe hoses were in fair condition but no blockage. I ran water through them and they seem to be fine. I then decided to follow the vacume line that is suppose to pull the valve open. I could not find the other end of the line so i said hey why not blow air though it. Got my air line and blew some air through it. The other end of that line is connected to the control unit (picture). But there is no vacume there either. What is giving this line vacume? Is there something along the way that gives its vacume?. THe line that i had attatched to the valve as a temporary solution that i was hopeing would work does not have enough vacume to pull the valve up. I took the old one that i have in my garage and ran the line to it and it barelly lifted the valve up and it didnt have anitfreeze in it so the one that is on the car now definately is not opening up with that amount of vacume. The heater core is getting zero antifreeze, i was even crazy enough to pull the two heater core hoses and ran the car , nope no antifreeze ran through the hose. im in a complete lost , im going back to my car , any ideas?

The HVAC gets it's vacuum source from a line that comes out middle of the firewall and gets an intake source. AC needs to be set to the max position for the diverter to send vacuum to the valve. What is the integrity of the valve itself?
Oh wait, sorry, I'm not Elthesh. Disregard all the above.

What he said above me. The only part I am not 100 percent familiar with is the control unit, but... Look at the one picture, is there a second hoses connector on that yellowish orangish piece? If so and you only pulled one out, you're missing another hard plastic vacuum line like the other one. The missing one should be what the post above said. You have a v6, right? It'll be a bit different than mine, but still should come out of the firewall at the same place and be connected to the intake, prolly with a piece or two of rubber hose or connectors in between. Basically, look for another hard plastic tube like the one in the first pic. That should be it. Gotta follow it back into the car and reconnect or repair it. If it's missing, gonna have to replace it. Best bet maybe is to pull it out of a junkyard, especially if you are missing the WHOLE "assembly" of hoses from the intake to the unit.

so you guys are saying that there is another line that goes into the firewall and into the control unit that gives the line that runs to the valve vacume? its wierd that every other line on the hvac has vacume except this one. even the one that is shared with the third picture
