Custom/Aftermarket overflow tanks.

Anyone been able to find a re-circulating catch can? Besides the cheesy ones from PepBoys. I can't see putting a stock one back under the hood of my car, but on the flip side of that I haven't been able to find any aftermarket ones that re-circulate, they're just catch cans. Just wondering whats floating around out there.

This is what I am using. Inlet on the top (the angled fitting), oulet on the bottom. Overflow lead being the obvious.

The problem with a recirculating surge tank design is you need some place that will draw the coolant back into the system.

You can try searching on eBay. There's probably some NASCAR take-off's on there somewhere.

I was thinking of using one of the ones from ebay with the fitting the the top and using a compression fitting to run a piece of hard tube to the bottom so the fluid can be drawn back up.

Yeah but it's big, ugly and plastic. Definitely won't fit in my engine bay.
