I just bought the Hypertech 160 stat and 176/166 switch. I installed the stat and I am worried that the car might be running a little too cool, so I am consdering switching to the ACDelco 170 stat. I was wondering if anyone has used this combo of 170 stat and 176 turn on/166 turn off fan switch. Are the temp of the fan turn on and the stat too close together??

Your fan will be cylcling about every 3 minutes, maybe less. I may be the only one that thinks this, I may not be, who knows, but I don't like to have the fan running any more than I have to.

yeah I agree with what was said above, you usually want the on temp for the fan switch to be higher then the stat otherwise your fan will turn on before the thermostat opens.
Well the stat will start opening at 160 and the fan wont turn on until 170 so I thought it might be OK. I really would like to get a fan switch to turn the fan on ~180-185 but I can't find a switch with that setting. Well I think Ill probably just leave the 160 stat in.
Also in the fan control article it says to use the Hayden fan switch with default setting of 170deg with a 170 stat so I figured a 176 fan with a 170 stat would be very similar.
