Hypertech cool fan switch, problem
Hey guys, I just bought a Hypertech cool fan switch for my 88 Iroc 5.7 TPI. It's supposed to turn on the fans on at 176 degrees and off at 165. My problem is the fans still do not kick on until around 225. I didn't change the thermostat yet so I am still useing the 195 degree stat. Is this my problem why the fans are not kicking on at 176, or is it something else?
Whats the part number of the switch you bought?
Is the system full, bled and leak free? Only other reason It wouldnt be kicking on.
Thermostat has no effect on the fans man.

The fan switch you installed only operates the secondary fan, not the primary fan.
The primary fan is operated by the ECM. And unless you changed its programming, it's still operating at the stock-programmed temp, which is approximately 225*.

The system is full with a 75/25 mix, no leaks anywhere. The part # is 4026. The secondary fan still isn't kicking on at 176. Maybe I got a bad switch. Thanks guys!
