weatherpack connection question

hello, I was wondering where to find the CONNECTOR for the coolant temp sending unit. The one on the passenger side head. Through age and my error the connector broke. I cannot find a replacement at the auto parts store, and I was able to get a weatherpack kit and none were correct for it. Im stuck and dont want to bill hilly it up.Just thought someone would know, or have a better idea than I do. IT is on an 88 formula with a 305 TBI,single fan. the gauge does not register at all and the fan does not come on normally only when a/c is on.Any thoghts or replies are greatly appreciated, also ive spent many hours on the forum and couldnt find anything in that area.

gauge should be getting it's signal from the sensor in the drivers side head, IIRC.
the fans/ecm are controlled by passenger side though.
I didn't think you could even buy new connectors, i'll have to try and find a weatherpack kit sometime...

Your best bet might be Napa, Champion or Carquest. They'll be the most likely to have the GM style weatherpack connectors. I know Autozone and Advanced Auto Parts don't have them.

thanks for replying, Ill double check everything to be sure im correct. It was working fine until i removed air pump, someone already took off cat so no sense of one with out the other, but any way i just want to fix it correctly and buying a new sensor isnt the answer considering it wouldnt come with the connector either, just dont want to be a hack job, nothing worse than half ***,ing it twice instead of right once. thanks again

When searching for pig tails, I've had good luck with CarQuest.

That's where I got mine from, but I had to do a little modification. You know how hard it is to find the lower power connector to the smog pump diverter valve? lol They are keyed and no one had any. Carquest was the closest.

I did find one. the exact replacement, no modifications. It figures the last place I looked had one sitting on the shelf, it was a little locally owned store of all places. But it turns out that NAPA is able to get it as I went there for something else and they had ordered one to have in stock. So thanks for the help, much appreciated!!!
