Re: heater core removal

When I replaced the heater core in my '92 I had to take the entire dash and console out. I would definitely suggest getting the factory service manual for this job. Getting everything back in and aligned properly is a pain, but it can be done.

Re: heater core removal

I just took one out of my parts car a couple days ago (90 RS). It is two pieces, but there are about 8 screws to get it apart. Some of them are kind of hidden. Look carefully and you will find them and it will come out. Good luck.

Re: heater core removal

The ones at the top are a b**** I used a 12in 1/4 extension and pull the front dash cover on the pass side and look closely thru the small gap and you can see the top ones. If the extension is long enough you can get them from there. Maybe a universal wouldn't hurt.

Re: heater core removal

They arent too bad to remove. Some of the screws are a pain though. Aligning it back in took some adjustment when i did it.
