Problem and question
Hey everyone, I'm going to start from the beginning.
When i first bought my T/A, it ran cool, roughly 180, sounds wierd.
The radiator then blew, got a hole, and for a while, due to the fact htat I don't have another vehicle, I only drove it to work and back which was close enough to get to before the engine got up to normal temp, this was durring the winter, or I would have walked, LOL.
For a lil while I had been driving it, I think approx. 1 month and then finally got the radiator replaced with an aluminum one, from Autozone $140.
Now, there is no leaks, nada, fan comes on when the dash temp gauge reads roughly 230 - 240 when parked and runs on times cool.
But today... the coolant in my resavoir ( I don't know how to spell that ) was boiling and my dash temp gauge read 220 or something, I don't quite remember. But it was odd.
But now that I do recall, it certainly hasn't ran as cool as it did before the old radiator cracked....
Any suggestions and any particular parts or mods I should do to try to bring it down, it must be running hot if I see coolant boiling in the resavoir

Just check and make sure your fans are kicking on when they are supposed to be. Even at 220 you are still alright temperature wise.

I can't remember wich it is coolant sensor or tempature but sound like you gauge is reading wrong if it's boiling

Sounds like your thermostat may have stuck in the closed position. Is your car a single or dual fan? You can replace the fan switch with one that comes on sooner than factory and you would also want to replace the thermostat so that they work together. You can get a 170 degree thermostat from TPI parts and a 185 on - 170 off fan switch from Summit or Jegs or your local parts store. Also, you should add 1 bottle of water wetter and use 30% anti freeze to 70 % distilled water. Make sure both of your air dams are in good working order. Check all your belts and hoses and radiator cap. Feel free to ask as many questions as you want to get your ride back on the road.
