Re: fans not working

if its the same as a 91 305 tbi there is a sensor between cyls 6 and 8 on the head and its a single wire deal, u can test it by grounding the wire should make the fans kick on as long as the car is running, assuming its the same as a 92 or if you have ac and everything is hooked up correctly just turning the ac should kick the fans on regardless of if it works, again im assuming our cars are wired the same, if they rnt some one correct me

i wanna say green and the connector was one where u had to squeeze it really hard to get the connector off, i actually broke mine and had to replace the wire/connector when i did my switch, just go under neath your car on the pass side and look up. thats the best view and its right between the 6 and 8 spark plugs

Re: fans not working

funny u ask

i thought i could be fast enough and not loose that much coolant....i was wrong. i just ended up making a mess, so to answer your question yes u need to drain some coolant out of the engine, if u keep a pan handy u can just take the switch out and let it drain, when i did it i took the pass front wheel off and the coolant drained straight down so it didnt contaiminate it so i reused the coolant.

Re: fans not working

yeah u actualy gotta lay under the car and look straight up toward the engine its right there between the plugs

id imagine if u removed ur air tubes u could actually do most of the work from the top, but i have yet to get rid of that mess.
