Re: TBI water pump and tranny cooler

I have the Stewart Stage 2 Waterpump with their stage 2 thermostat THEY RECOMMEND which has the 3-hole mod to keep up with the flow of the pump.

As for tranny cooler, Im a fan of flex-a-lite but depending on where you put it I'd say B&M for strength....as the FAL is fins without support and easily bent....the B&M is plate style....harder to mess up....

Im looking at the B&M tranny cooler, i like it, I think ill get one of those. Where are some good spots to put them?

And I was thinking of getting a Edelbrock or a Meziere electric, I just have no idea which one to get.

Re: TBI water pump and tranny cooler

The normal spots...in front of the radiator, fog light openings. Anything where air flows...just make sure its secure and not to low, my buddy had his on the bottom of his bumper above the lip and ended up bottoming out and it fell straight off and cracked open...kind of sucked. So keep it up and in air flow....

Post pics when you get this done.

Re: TBI water pump and tranny cooler

Well im still doing my suspension right now. I think im going to get a b&m tranny cover [think thats what its called] holds 4quarts extra i think and has a drain plug. My engine compartment is so cramped as is, i just know its going to be hell to install the tranny cooler, lol. Which b&m tranny cooler would be good? Should one of the small ones be fine?

Also no idea on which model water pump i need? I guess ill just call them when its time to order.

Thanks for the help though, next weekend im going to a car show so ill take pictures of my car and maybe make a couple quick videos and ill make a post, so be on the lookout for that in a couple of weeks.

Are you talking about Tranny Pan? If so the extra 4quarts shows in ground clearance....

I have looked into a Deep tranny Pan but decided not to, just in case I go over a speed bump and come back down and it bottoms out, the pan wont get dented...plus I plan to lower my car on B&G 2" drops.

I'd revise the tranny pan mainly because of ground clearance...you dont want to get it, hit your pan and it all be for nothing...so check your clearance and check the extra size....
