high side fitting

high side fitting

hey guys where did you guys get the fitting for the high side ..i do hvac for a living my manifold set reads r-12 and thats what im putting back in ..but my high side hose is to big for the liquid line fitting ...my suction line fitting will fit my hose just not my high side ????? is that a special GM adapter fitting

I just connected my gauges on the low side only. I was still able to vacuum it down and recharge the A/C.

If you find an adapter for the high side let me know.

Prior to 87, both the high and low side ports were the same (7/16), which is the same as the hose ends on a standard gauge set. After 87, the low side stayed the same, but the high side became 3/8. You will need an adapter for your hose. Try your local parts stores, or online. I know mastercool sells an adapter set that will work for it.

I think the sizes I gave you was just for the threads on the ports. I believe the actual size of the ports themselves are 1/4" and 3/16" male flare. This page likely contains the adapter you need: http://www.mastercool.com/pages/charging_adapters.html

If i was to guess, I'd say you want the E 90337
