Air dam install questions

Does anybody have a pix of theirs? I was installing it this morning but I can't see where the two sides pieces go.

Re: Air dam install questions

I put the main piece on but I couldn't figure out how to put the side pieces on. I need to see how they look to figure it out.

The person before me looks like they cut the piece of the ground effects off that connect to the air dam under the car. I'm assuming that maybe the side pieces used to hang off of them but if I had a pix of how it's supposed to look on the car, I can figure out a way to put 'em on and make it look right.

Re: Air dam install questions

i dont have a pic sorry, but the two outer pieces mount to the underside rear of the ground effects pieces on the sides of the front of the car. If they are cut off, your beat. Time to fab something or find new ground fx.

Re: Air dam install questions

Pontiac 3 piece air dam? There should be three mounting points for each side piece with corresponding screw holes on tabs on the underside of the GFX. The three pieces don't connect to each other unfortunately.

My TA was missing a few of the tabs on the GFX so to get mine solidly attached I cut a piece of the old air dam, maybe 3" x 4". Attached it to the back of the new center and side pieces by drilling a few holes and sticking in four bolts (2 in each piece). Repeat for other side. Used black bolts so they don't show.

Re: Air dam install questions

Dude I appreciate it. If you look at that pix, I am missing the bottom part of the ground effect where it attaches.

Basically I'm going to have to fabricate something if I want the side pieces on. I was wondering however since I can't tell from you pix, where the back piece of the air dam attaches too? I have a hole at the back of the side ground effect, I was wonder if it attached there?
