Not cheap but a good reproduction. Ebay is where I found mine. These things are getting harder and harder to find.

Re: fan shrouds?

Best off is to hit your local parts yard/pick a part and grab a shroud/fan
set up off another cam/bird. Thats what I did to convert my L-69 from
that PIA electric fan to the mechanical fan set up.
Runs at least 30 degrees cooler............No more "is the fan running" and
260 degree plus temp issues !

Why not just run a lower temp switch, or reprogram?

Kind of silly going backwards.

Plain and simple.................

Some folks just don't have the time, skill, knowledge, etc etc. to mess with the factory electric fan set up let alone spending endless HOURS under the hood or on line here asking questions about fan switches, sensor replacement, etc. and STILL having overheating issues and continue scratching their heads with problems!

For most changing to a mechanical fan setup is simple and cheap
and solves the overheating problem..............

Not to mention some folks may find that their Cam/bird elec.
fan set up may have been cobbled/modified by a previous owner
so again a new sensor/chip etc. suggestion is worthless and out of the question.

I suppose.. It's just that, it's one of the more simple things on the car. Fairly straightforward. Power, ground, relay, and a 'switch'. The switch is either a thermalresistor on TBI applications, or run off the ECM on other (TPI normally) applications. TO make a TBI/non ECM car turn on lower, simply change the thermalresister switch in the head with a lower turn on unit. For a car with a computer controlled fan, it's a prom edit.

Probably give up 5+hp switching to a mechanical fan.
