Re: ran into a snag

Aftermarket radiator // fan(s) // shroud? Or stock parts but not going back together? Holes for fan // shroud not linning up as they should?

The only thing I can think to do is get the plastic zip-tie looking things that come with some aftermarket trans coolers if they're long enough, & mount them using the ties.

I hear it's got to be done carefully so as not to rupture any tubes in the rad!......

Sorry, I haven't got experience with this type of problem.
Good luck

Re: ran into a snag

its an aftermarket radiator, and the fan and shroud are off a camaro, the holes are lining up but the shroud is too short to cover all of the radiator

Re: ran into a snag

We don't have A/C so I can't help there.
The top is held in with the 2 brackets that have rubber insulators--
there are 2 holes they bolt into, just a few inches from each corner of the rad. Back in a min.

Re: ran into a snag

The radiator and the condensor are held in on the bottom with a rubber pad that lays on the bottom of the support.

Re: ran into a snag

those rubber pads have a tiny rubber prong that sits in a small hole in the metal under them. as for bolting down, no. the only piece that has any bolts is the black plastic upper support and that bolts to the upper radiator support.

Re: ran into a snag

too short which way? it doesnt cover the length of the rad, side to side, or it doesnt extend far enough into the engine bay to cover the top of the rad? i just put a new alum rad in mine when i did my engine swap, and the plastic hold down didnt extend far enough to cover the rad, but its wedged in there good enough to not even need it.

Re: ran into a snag

id go with what 86ta said and not worry about it. as long as it holds the rad down it wont make much of a difference if it covers the whole thing.
