Should I replace the rad

So I'm putting a 383 stroker in my car. I have the stock rad in it still, with the 350 in it I had no problem being cool it would run like 170-180. So my question is should I get a new stock replacement or aftermarket replacement. Maybe even just get mine flushed before it runs anything that might be in it into my new motor.

Thanks Tom

Re: Should I replace the rad

I would rinse it out and reuse it assuming it still looks solid.

Re: Should I replace the rad

Yes it looks good no leaks. I will also be running a seperate trans cooler in front of the rad. Do I need to put brass plugs in the rad where the trans lines went into. Also what kind paint would I use to repaint the rad.

Thanks tom
