Help me recharge r12 system
My dad wants me to put some refrigerant in his 92 Z. When he bought the car a couple of years ago the AC worked. I guess now it doesn't cool anymore. I have 2 14 oz cans of r12. Should that be enough for a recharge? I also need to pickup a can tap and hose. Anything else I will need? Any instructions or advice would be appreciated.

Re: Help me recharge r12 system
They have a kit with a gauge that will work that they sell at Walmart for only like $16 or so. No idea if that is enough or will solve the problem, but if you have no other use for it,
it might. Will the compressor even cycle on? It has to be running to pressure test or add to. You can always jump it if it doesn't. How's it going? I've been told that once you get your AC working, make sure you run the compressor(with AC or defrost) at least 10 minutes or so every month to keep seals lubricated and sealed up

Hey Henry, whats up
I will check out my local Walmart and see what they have. I will check the car out tomorrow and see if the compressor cycles.
