Want my A/C back

I just got and 88 Camaro with the 305 in it the previous owner did a A/c delete. I got to lookin at it and I think he just pulled everything for the A/C system but didnt hook up the blower motor nor did he get the A/C delete heater box. I am wanting the A/C back in the car, I was just wanting to know if anybody knew off the top of there head what I need to get back on the car. I am goin to try and see if the previous owner has the stuff that he pulled off the car. I am really worried bout the loss of power I am more goin to be using it as a daily driver for the time being. So I need that A/C back, not only that I dont even have heat when the winter comes back! So any help would be greatful.

Re: Want my A/C back

First thing, does it have the compressor, it should be on the passengers side on an 88. if it does, can u see that it has all the hoses some are metal and some are rubber. do you have the condenser that sits behind the radiator?, does it have the accumulator which is located right by the firewall passengers side, looks like a metal can. a rebuilt ac compressor is about 195 bucks online ,i am getting mines in tomorrow, u can get them cheaper but i don't like the other brands autoparts stores offer. the accumulator which i highly highly highly recommend is under 30 bucks, with that too you must chance the orifice tube which is under 5 bucks. the condenser if its not there is about 100 -150 bucks then you need to get the system recharged and converted to r134 or whatever refrigerant you like ,if u search on here some people use a different ref. than r134. about your heat, on the passengers side firewall, you should have (2) rubber hoses coming out, the right one elbows down to a metal pipe while the left one comes out to a valve behind the a/c compressor. if everything is hooked up correctly check that the valve has the vacuum lines hooked up . let me know if this helps
