Heat Diverter valve delete HVAC temp in vehicle

I have a 87 Iroc w A/C

i am deleting the air boxes and using the non ac shroud and motor kit .

I now would like to remove the heat diverter valve on the rad hose
I thought of going from the intake direct to the heater core, and from the heater core to the metal coolant pipe and adding a plug where diverter would have attached to the metal coolant pipe.

If I always run fluid thru the core, as descibed above, will

1) I have heat on heat and cold on cold when the HVAC is moved

2) I have heat on heat and warm on cold

3) I have heat on heat and heat on cold

Re: Heat Diverter valve delete HVAC temp in vehicle

I removed my heater core bypass valve a few years ago, and I didn't notice really any difference in the temp of my non-a/c settings when set to cold. So to answer your question you'll get heat on heat, and outside temp on cold. Which could be cold or hot depending on the time of year and where you live.
