Need help please...
Alright so this is what happened, my radiator fan motor has been getting bad and finally crapped out and blew a fuseable link, replaced it and the motor. Car keeps shooting up to 300*+ and it blew off my heater control valve, fixed that. Car was always shut off when it redlined to cool. So now that everytrhing has been replaced: thermostat, rad fan motor, wires, water pump(right before winter). It still shoots up to red line within minutes. And the fan doesn't kick on at all. What am I missing here?

Re: Need help please...
It's usually the fan switch that fails. It's in the passenger side head between plugs 6 and 8. All it does when the proper temp is reached is ground the wire going to the fan relay which then sends power to the fan. You can test the wiring and the relay by grounding that green with white stripe wire that connects to the switch with the key on. If the fan goes on, the switch or connection is the problem. Lots of alternative solutions can be found by doing a search on this forum

I can't see what's going on in the pic, but you can tap anywhere into that green with white stripe wire(closer to the relay would be easier) and run a switch like you described and as long as the relay and fan are good you should succeed

Found out I had no coolant running through the engine D: all the coolant in my resevoir drained into the radiator and got burned off. Can't believe i missed this. Filled it with two jugs of coolant and a bottle of water wetter and its running around 220* but the fans still arent kicking on?
