Hi guys I'm trying to replace my water pump every thing was going smoothly until I hit the last two torx heads both of them rounded off. I am trying to grind off the head of one torx head in the hopes that the water pump will slide out then worry about the rest of the bolt when I get the water pump off do you guys know if my plan will work and is there a better way for the second torx because I'm at a lost

 

just grind off the heads and use some vice grips to get the rest of the bolt off when you pull the pump

 

Thanks. I wasn't sure if the threads on the torx were also attached to the water pump or just the engine block it self.
