How many amps do the stock fans draw?
I have a 1990 IROC. vert. A few years ago I added this kit to my Passenger side fan only;

It has worked great for me. My question is that I know the left side fan only comes on when the AC is running, but I was thinking in the summer months up here in the mountains I would like to tie both fans to come on at 190+/- degrees (I can adjust it). The relay and breaker is only rated for 20 amps, I don't think it would be too much draw to tie in both, what do you think? I don't think the A/C will be effected either way...your thoughts? Thanks

Re: How many amps do the stock fans draw?
i tested a set of stock dual fans once and found each
motor pulled 7 1/2 amps once up to speed,accelerating
from stopped they pulled quite a bit more,perhaps
18-20 amps each motor for a couple seconds.probably
would be good to use a seperate relay for each motor.
If i had a third with dual fans i too would wire them to
run together or one to start right after the other if the
current inrush of the two starting together causes the
ignition to hiccup for a moment.

Re: How many amps do the stock fans draw?
This was in the instructions so I guess I am good to go...just need to splice into the other fan...
NOTE: WITH THIS RELAY YOU CAN OPERATE A FAN RATED UP TO 30 AMP'S OR
TWO FANS AS LONG AS THE TOTAL CURRENT DRAW FOR BOTH IS LESS
THAN 30 AMP'S.TWO FANS AS LONG AS THE TOTAL CURRENT DRAW FOR BOTH IS LESS
