Curve in upper hose
Does anyone else have a problem where the upper radiator hose makes a sharp turn (after coming out of the radiator)? This is the second hose I've bought (AC Delco), and it wants to fold in that spot if I make it sit in that plastic holder thats connected to the radiator support. It doesn't overheat, so I know coolant is getting through, I just feel uneasy about it.

Fold how? The correct hose should already be formed & not need any force applied to make the turn, so even hot water flowing through it should not affect its strength in holding the bend in its correct form.

It is already formed, but after its on the car it tends to want to collapse a little right there where the bend is. I thought the last one I tried was a little too long, so I trimmed about an inch off, that helped a little. The last one was a cheap hose though, so that's why I went with AC Delco this time.

Hoses are trim-to-fit. If you're just sticking them on as they come, you'll have problems like that.

Re: Curve in upper hose
Do your GM hoses have the lettering on them that says engine on one side?
You shouldn't have to cut those and they shouldn't do what your saying??

I didn't see anything that says "engine", but I'm sure it's on the correct way. I tried to upload a pic but it looks like Photobucket is still down.

Sounds like the dealer may have ordered hoses from the same place you can buy them cheap.
The upper and lower will have white ink stampings on them. I cant find the pix of my NOS hoses
