Who Has the Champion 3-Row Radiator in Stock?
Anyone know who actually has the Champion 3-Row aluminum radiator in stock right now? Some vendors on e-bay show it is in stock, but when you order, they cancel your order and admit they don't actually have it.

You might want to re-think that purchase. I know people who have been dissapointed with it. Look for one with a pair of one inch tubes like Be Cool, Afco, Fluidyne, Howe etc. I have a be cool and got it used for $230 shipped and it works (and fits) great. Also, look into a Taurus fan (2 speed) from 91-95 with the 3.8l engine and 170 stat. This with a good air deflector will cool your car. I have had a tpi car since the 80s and the above works the best.

Thanks. I read the posts where guys were having problems with Champion's quality control but it seems like quite a few ordered them anyway. I just reconditioned the heads and I have a new radiator on there now but temps here in Tucson are getting up there and I am riding up around 220-230 degrees in stop and go traffic. I will check out ebay for the brands you suggested. I take it the 1" tubes are better? Do you remember the Be Cool part number? I will also check out the fans. I replaced mine because one failed, but the new fans are Autozone specials and I am wondering if that is part of the problem.

I checked ebay and it looks like the new Be Cool 2-core, 1" is going from $500 and up. That's pretty expensive for a radiator. Has anyone had any experience with the Jeggs 51904? It sells for $273 with shipping, but no information on the number of cores or tube diameter. Thanks.

I'm looking at some alternatives too, like adding a push fan on the front if I can fit it. My radiator is new, so I was just looking to get the temps down 10-15 degrees so it wouldn't overheat in 115 degree weather this summer.
It is bad business for all these vendors to advertise that they have the Champion in stock, but after you order and pay for it, they admit they don't. Are they that lazy that they don't want to place the words "out of stock" next to the ad?

First try a taurus fan. They are by far the best fan I have ever tried. You need one from 91-95 from a 3.8l engine and the fans are two speed. Get a 170 stat also and make sure your air dam is there.

Does the Taurus fan go on the front of the radiator and push? I have a Mercedes with a 275 hp V-8 that has two electric fans on the front with one mechanical fan in the back. The electric fans sound like jet engines when they go to high and you can watch the temperature decrease from 110C to 85C in a matter of a minute. I'm considering using the Mercedes fans.

Or something like that. Lots of pics & info!!
The Taurus fan is a " Puller " it goes on between the motor & radiator.
How to wire it so it runs in both low & high, someone will have to chime in with the details.
