Aftermarket Coolant Overflow Tanks

Post your aftermarket coolant overflow tanks, I am thinking of getting one to free up space under the hood and to give me better access to my battery.

I am looking at a few different units, here is the summit brand:

Any advice on shopping for one? I am running the stock radiator.

Thanks

or you could install fourth gen coolant and overflow bottles that clean up the engine bay.

There behind the front bumper , he used 4th gen bottles thats my route , the washer boyyle fits prety well only needs slite mod on the bumper support and header panel ctr bracket . haven,t started with the overflow bot yet but it shouldn't be an issue.

Re: Aftermarket Coolant Overflow Tanks

overflow bottle is under the battery. can see the neck sticking up. the washer bottle is under the plastic panel by the hood latch. here is a write up although some don't need to alter the bracket at the hoodlatch.

Re: Aftermarket Coolant Overflow Tanks

Wow, a lot of good info here...
Have a 91 Firebird, battery is on driver's side... and I havea BBS Turbo header I want to install, so I think I will go with the Canton choice (again, wipe it clean).... as for the 4th gen washer fluid, I'm gonna be placing my intercooler there.... so any options for a washer fluid that matches the canton coolant bottle?

Re: Aftermarket Coolant Overflow Tanks

What did you do to the existing mounting holes on the shock towers? Looks like you did something, but I can't make it out from the images.

Re: Aftermarket Coolant Overflow Tanks

You can purchase any of the aftermarket stainless steel tube varieties out there and then just mount it under the radiator filler panel attached to the bracket that the hood latches too. It is very easy. Check out FueldSoul's solution: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/fabr...ow-washer.html
