First post! Overheating issue.

Hey guys!
I recently picked up a 84 camaro that's been sitting outside for about 7 years. Old owners (in laws) told me it ran just fine before. So I did all whole flush (gas, water, oil. Etc etc). Changed the cap and rotar sparks and wires. Fuel pump. The battery obviously as well. Fired right up. Drove her off.

About two weeks ago I notice the car started to overheat. Did th easy part first swapped the radiator cap. Still went on. So I went after the thermostat and the upper and power raidiator hoses. New coolant. The temp Hague starts going up and down from about 190 to almost overheating. I am baffled. The higher the rpm the faster it overheats. No leaks. Don't know what else to do. The fan works while idiling.

Any thoughts?

Do you have a wind dam underneath, behind the radiator? Camaros will overheat if this baffle missing. It's a plain piece of black plastic.

Also, see posts on this site re: how gauges operate. Some are virtual, not analogue, and don't give accurate readings at some temps.

Baffles missing apparently or I missed it. I'll check that gauge post out too but I'm out there trying to figure something out. I need it to work lol.

Alright guys I appreciate everyone that have me input and tried to help. After some digging around, had a banding sending unit. Bad water pump and a bad fan clutch. It's fixed and it's floating around 195-220. Right around the middle.
