Need help to ID a cooling line

I noticed I've been losing coolant, and think I found the culprit. There's a hose that connects to the heater bypass valve on one end, then runs down the right front of the block into an aluminum crimper, then it's aluminum and runs under the crank pulley til it gets to a bracket above the oil filter. Where the hose goes into the aluminum crimper and aluminum line, the crimper is split allowing a slow leak. Anyway, is this the oil cooler line? There's also a second line that runs parallel to it and goes from above the oil filter to the radiator, but it's ok. What exactly is it called so I can get a replacement...... L98 motor by the way......

Here's a pic from underneath near the right front wheel. You are under the motor looking almost straight up. The obviously fatter one is the one that split. The hose clamp attempt didn't work, not strong enough. I did put one on the other hose too to help prevent it from splitting if it was inclined to, but once it's split, no way. Clamp won't work.

57 views and no one knows what this line is? I realize my description was sloppy, but.....Anyway, the guy at Autozone suggested cracking the rest of the aluminum crimp off and using a hose clamp. Might try that this weekend.

Re: Need help to ID a cooling line

Thx. That was what I suspected. Could be that's why I didn't get responses, sort of answered my own question in the OP. I take it the other line is a return line then. Thx for the diagram, those always help.

You're welcome. Well you have a few choices. You can search the junk yards and get a used line. Internet auction sites for a new or used line. Maybe someone from this board has a spare and is willing to sell or spare it. Or you can send your existing line to a good metal shop that can repair the lines.
