Coolant Tank Retaining Clips

How's it going y'all? I hope this isn't a silly question, but I have come seeking knowledge.

I recently installed a new radiator overflow tank... issue is, the retaining clip broke just before removal. I took it to Autozone to get a 'replacement', and the one they gave me looks just like it, yet doesn't work at all.

I managed to find this:http://http://www.classicindustries.com/product/camaro/parts/20451119.html

Is this the correct part for my '89 Camaro?
Thanks in advance guys!

There are a few threads with this info if you are wanting them to be "correct".
The search function is kinda hit or miss here so you may have to work at it a bit.

Re: Coolant Tank Retaining Clips

If you have a local body supply store, just take the old one in and have them match it up. Or flip through Auveco's catalog and see if you can match it that way.

The current number GM gives comes as a square push pin, which might work, but isn't close to the original style.

In the off chance you have a junkyard with a fair selection, it's not too hard to find at least one of these clips with 4 per car.

So those above clips are good for my '89?

I mean, they look similar... I just don't want to waste the time and money, you know?

Quite right, the only reason I posted a separate thread was because I simply could not find any decent info using search.

Ah I see, I think I found a promising lead, thanks to yourself, kind sir.

This looks like it, do you think it's the correct one?
The thread kinda goes back and forth a bit, and the other clip provided was said not to fit right.
