Smaller accumulator options?

i was wondering if anyone knew of any smaller accumulators that would work? also can it be moved or angled?

going to attempt a turbo LS swap and try to keep a/c and heat. need as much room as possible.

Re: Smaller accumulator options?

I was reading a thread on ls1tech if i recall of someone with an iroc attempting to turbo and keep ac. In the mockup it looked like they needed to do a little bit of fab work to the ac box to allow room for the exhaust pipe. will be cluttered but it just might work .

Re: Smaller accumulator options?

Hi Mike , in theory there is no reason that the accumulator has to be mounted where it is on our cars , and as proof I offer up my 2003 Lincoln Towncar . The accumulator on my TC is right under the battery , just behind the passenger's side headlight . With the TC's accumulator being mounted so far away from the evaporator and working fine I'd say it's pretty much up to how much AC line plumbing fabrication you want to do and you could move it to wherever the available space is .

I'd love to see pictures of it . I know doing the classic "build thread" can be a pain in the butt , so even a few "before & after" pics would be cool if you take any

This is also a thing on my Moms 2004 LeSabre (except the battery is under the back seat)

Re: Smaller accumulator options?

looks like vintage air has a smaller drier/ accumulator. this one measures in at 2.5" x 6" where as the oem one is 10 or 12 inches long i believe.
