Tbi cooling issues...
Heres the breakdown.
temp gauge would mark 3/4 to almost red . So, i changed the fan switch to a hypertech one. 185°
Single fan, converted to dual fans, by jumping the green wire, brown wire, adding a fuse to the orange and running the red black to the fan. Seperate relays ofcourse.
Neither fans would come on. 220 and climbing, no fans. Id turn the ac on to cool it off, both fans work.
So, years later (present date), decided to run a secondary switch from thermostat housing. New switch (220° on) new connector and jumping to the green wire.
Checked ohms, resistance flutuates as the temp rises.
i thought maybe the hypertech one didnt work, but when i checked resistance around 200°it was at 0.00 which shouldve turned on the fans (right?).
nothing happened either way.
Waited til 230ish , and the fans turned on for 3 seconds.
In that time it read 220ish. Took it for a spin, got it to 240ish, parked, opened the hood, disconnected the new connector to run wire loom, and the fans kicked on! So, did the old hypertech switch come back to life? The secondary fan switch was disconnected when this happened.
Can it be a bad temp SENDER???? Sending me an inaccurate reading, making me think its overheating?
using a digital thermometer, where should i point it, to get the most accurate reading to compare the senders reading to the gauge?
Ive got power through all the hot wires, if i ground out the green, both fans come on.. im lost. New relAy also installed to replace the factory one.
Thanks for reading, appreciate all the help.

Re: Tbi cooling issues...
There's a chance that your PCM might be bad, and it isn't grounding your fan relay.
Same thing happened on my fiance's car, which was one of the many reasons I started an LS swap on it (which I haven't finished yet...)
We still need more information, though. Can you post a picture of your wiring/ relay setup?
