Thermostat housing broken connector piece

Hello,

I have an 85 Z28 and am in the process of flushing the cooling system. There's a plastic connector/hose that is part of the thermostat housing (believe this is the right name) that has a broken piece. I have no idea what it is to try to find a part or if it's even important.

There's a few more hoses than I am familiar with in this engine bay. I also have a cylindrical piece with hoses attached circled in the last picture that I also don't know what it's for.

Have a few pictures attached below. Any info is appreciated.

Thanks

I eliminated all the tvs switches on my 1984 (QJ carburetor) 305 (car built in Cal for Canadian market). The only purpose of these switches is to block any vacuum to the engine, vacuum advance, heat riser, etc., for emissions at startup & warm up.. I do not know how that would affect your car if u have an ecm by removing the tvs hardware..

My Camaro was built in California so it sounds like it has emissions modifications... What are tvs?
