Anyone running an intercooler also running a seperate oil and/or trans cooler?
Trying to figure out the cooling for my Procharged LS3 stroker setup. My old P600B procharger with a 2 core intercooler was mounted horizontally with an air scoop but I'll be going with a larger intercooler with the F1A and the Ls3 this time. Also going to run an external oil cooler plumbed off an Earl's Performance LS0013ERL from the block. So it will be running -10AN lines and fittings. I have an external Trans cooler for my 700R4 right now but its just a passive RV trans cooler. (plate style not tube and fin) and its just zip tied to the supports in front of the radiator. I'll be going to a T56 Magnum eventually so I'm not super concerned with a better trans cooler solution just more engine oil.
Its a 1991 Formula so the nose is a bit different. I did chop the "nostrils" of the nose to allow more airflow and I have removed the bumper shock absorption material behind the fascia. So there is better airflow through the front than there was.
Just looking for ideas.
