Cooling fan switch
Hey gang anyone know the part number or where to get a lower temp fan switch. I’m talking about the brass sender that goes in the passenger head in between the back two cylinders. It has a round black plastic connector on it like a knock sensor. I need around 180-190 degrees. Thanks.

Re: Cooling fan switch
Iirc it’s 3/8 npt , search summit racing for a temp switch. They have a lot of different ones with different on/offs.

Re: Cooling fan switch
Summit sells one that fits that is 180. Although that seems way too low for a fan turn on

Re: Cooling fan switch
I'm giving this unit a try. Not sure if it will do everything I want it to, but we'll find out.

Re: Cooling fan switch
Isn't that just a temp sender for the dash gauge????

Re: Cooling fan switch
If you go to an auto parts store that has paper books still, you can go through them, all the specs and pick virtually any size/thread, on and off temp that you want. I did that decades ago for my car, I used an on at 190, off at 180 for the low speed, then another switch that was on at 210, off at ....something lower....for the fan's hi speed. All with a 160 stat, it worked pretty great, for me.

Re: Cooling fan switch
Has anyone every used this one/brand? For $60 you'd think it be the last ever fan control switch. Thoughts? I run around 174ºF at steady state so this would be a great for on/off temperatures I need.
