Need pigtail for connector on passenger side cylinder head. Help.

I can't seem to find the pigtail connector for the sensor on my passenger side cylinder head. I believe it's for either the fan or the temp gauge. Anyone know where I can get this pigtail? Mine's charred. I need this soon.

Thanks,

Another question on this. I believe it might be the fan switch. (Passenger side between #6 & #8) Do I even need this? My fan is wired to a toggle switch in the cab. My buddy wired it years ago when I went carb. I don't have the computer in the car. So, do I really even need this switch / sensor? Or can I just get a plug?

The pigtail should be available from TPI Parts, it's for the fan switch.

Why not wire the fan switch back up in tandem with your toggle switch? That way the fan switch will still turn on the fan when you, or some other driver, forgets. If you're running the fan all the time off that toggle you're putting a strain on your electrical system too.

I don't have a computer anymore. So is the fan switch still useable? If so, how do I wire it to my switch that's in the car now?

Switch will work without a computer because all it does is ground the wire when it reaches the required temp.

Standard Motor Products part #S550 is the connector, you should be able to get it from any local auto parts store:

That's not it. That looks like it would be for the temp gauge sensor on the drivers side. I need the passanger side pigtail. It plugs into the atual fan switch. I'm just confused how to hook it up. There are two wires coming off the pig tail and one green wire going back to the relay.

The connector I listed is correct for the fan switch on a 91 Formula 350. If you have a switch in the passengers side head that has more than one wire, the switch is not stock.

Re: Need pigtail for connector on passenger side cylinder head. Help.

aftermarket switches had a two wire connector. The second connector is for a ground that the stock switch gets thru its connection to the head at the threads. If you have a two wire switch, connect either lead to ground and the other to the relay lead. Let it idle and warm up, the temp switch should engage the fan when it reaches its setpoint.
