Will a chip made for a 89 RS be fine in a 91 rs?...

I dono if this is the right board. but my friend says I can have his performance chip made for a 89 RS Lo3 will it work fine in my 91 RS Lo3? just wondering. I dont want anything to go wrong if it dont work right.

Nope, you have MAF system and he has a SD system. Two completely different ECM's.

I believe they are BOTH TBI (which is MAP based), not TPI. So the chip "should" work (I am not a TBI expert).

But, it is highly unlikely to be optimal. If you want a "good" chip, you got to burn your own, plain and simple.

Oops!! I didn't pay attention to the engine code.

Get the part number and make, call up the manufacture and ask for the part number of the chip that is for your car. You could also ask if that chip will work, but I doubt they will tell you.
