I'd say you do. It will run with the stock chip, but it'll run real rich and probably have a few other problems.

Yeah you need to compensate for atleast the 24lb injectors...I'd be really interested in seeing what you run in 1/4...are you planning on taking it to the track soon?

I am just starting a 383 buildup for my 91 TA. I know next to nothing about getting custom buned chips. Where do you guys normally get them done? Speed shops? Do I just give the shop the specs on my car and they know how to burn it? Will a quality shop need to tune the car after buning the chip, or is just stick it in and go? About what will it run me to have a custom chip made and then tuned properly? Thanks for helping out with my lack of computer knowledge.

Let's say you have something that's not right,
ie a headache.
So you go to the drug store and get some aspirin.
Well, it turns out you had a brain anuesum, and taking the aspirin thinned your blod enough that it ruptured and you died.

You took the right mediciene for the symtoms.

generic answers aren't always good, which is what you get when you order a chip over the phone.

If your into hot rodding for the long haul, might as well get into the chip thing. It's by no means rocket science. yes, it involving learning some new stuff, but it's not that bad, IMO.

i burned my first one 6/2003. with 20 burns later it is close. on the dyno as at 12.0/1 at WOT. PE is dam near perfect now. Blms are 126-130 all over. still have not optimized 4400 rpms yet but will. it is actually fun once you start understanding. study required. this forum is very helpful. give it some thought.
