Someone with easy access to their 7730 ECM- need a really big favor

Whoever is able to, could you go to ECM connector terminal A6 (the pink/black stripe wire), and with the ignition off and the connector removed from the ECM, take a ohmmeter measurement from that wire to the negative battery terminal? I'd really appreciate it. I'm reading 8.5 ohms on mine, and I'm wondering if that is normal? It's a slight short to ground, but I'm curious if it could be abnormal.

Thanks much in advance!

I don't have a TPI setup here to actually measure this. However, A6 is the ignition power feed to the ECM. I would expect a low resistance to ground from this point. This is for a '730 SD setup.

Edit: A6 is also the ignition power feed on a '165 MAF setup.

RBob,

Thanks. What's happening is that I believe my idle misfire is coming an excessively lean condition resulting from a damaged ECM- somehow shorted out. I had quite a few wires for systems that remain unused in my car, so I bundled them up in the engine compartment when I swapped the EFI into my '71. Thinking maybe a short circuit developed someplace, this weekend I went through and pulled the unused terminals out of the ECM connectors. I also did a voltage/continuity/ground check on the remaining terminals (ECM disconnected) and found this 8.5 ohm value on A6.
