Chip?

hey guys... i have an 85 berlinetta with mods in the sig... i diddnt know they even made chips for this model year because its carburated and not FI... however i found this chip

it says its for a LG4 auto? will i see a performance increase... because i have a new carb and distributer so what all is my ECM controlling? well anyways will this chip do anygood for a carburated car? thanks for the help

Best bet is to get the ZZZ upgrade and booklet from GM. This info is from Grumpy and can be found in at least these two threads:

very good read... but it still doesnt answer one of my questions... if i have taken off the computer controlled carb and i replaced it with my edelbrock and got a new distributer for timing... what would the chip do since the carb is no longer adjusting timming... basically what is the chip in my car still controlling now that the Q-jet is gone?

Would depend upon whether you wired a distributor signal to the ECM. If not then maybe the TCC and nothing else. Does the SES light stay on all of the time?

actually it does... and the torque converter doesnt lock up... kinda slips into the next gear... how do i fix this
