Yes. Knowing the model year (MY) and the type of fuel system is the first step. Fuel system can be carb, TPI, TBI, MPFI, etc.

Then knowing the engine can also help: 305, 350, 2.8L, 3.1L, LB9, L98, LHO, LO3, etc.

The final is the BCC code on the PROM/MEMCAL silver sticker. For this drop the ECM down and remove the small cover. On the silver label should be a 3 or 4-letter code (such as CRY, AYJP, etc.).

Let us know and we'll figure it out.

{edit: was typing as scuzz was posting, what he said}.

I'm not coming up with anything that makes sense. Using the 'ck' as the BCC shows an '81 2.8L 2bbl engine. Have you checked the service # on the ECM label? If this is for your x-fire I would recommend checking out the crossfire vault.

Here is the URL:

CrossFire Injection Vault

Has a lot of decent tech information.

Yes, that comes up as the LU5 5.0L used in '82 Camaros and Firebirds. Three spd auto and A/C.

ECM # 1225550
